OPTIONAL
Negative numbers: think of the number line being mirrored at zero.

eg. -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3
(Use a calculator to test the following out! for negative numbers, press the small "-" sign above the "RCL" key on your calculator)
1)adding a positive number and a negative number, eg. 9 + (-5) is the same as subtracting from the positive number eg. 9-5 =4
2) subtracting a negative number from a negative number, eg. (-3) - (-5) is the same as adding to the first negative number. (-3)+5 = 2

Using calculators, can you find out the rules of multiplying and dividing by negative numbers? ;)
